Explosion and Fire at Gujarat Chemical Plant Injures 24 Workers
At least 24 workers were injured after an explosion triggered a fire at a chemical plant in Gujarat's Surat city on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.
The explosion occurred at around 2 am in a large tank at the chemical factory located in Sachin GIDC industrial area.
The fire spread quickly to other parts of the factory, causing extensive damage. The fire was brought under control after several hours of firefighting effort by firemen from Surat city and nearby areas.
