Reports suggest Sivakarthikeyan, an ardent Rajinikanth fan, is likely to feature in a cameo role in 'Thalaivar 171', Rajinikanth's upcoming film.

While the actor has reportedly agreed to the cameo, an official confirmation is yet to be made regarding his role in the movie

Lokesh Kanagaraj, helming 'Thalaivar 171', is said to have approached Sivakarthikeyan for the role, which the latter apparently accepted.

Known for his admiration for Rajinikanth, Sivakarthikeyan, in his earlier days of mimicry and comedy, often imitated and praised the superstar.

Sivakarthikeyan has openly expressed his wish to act alongside Rajinikanth, mentioning it during promotions for his movie 'Hero'.

Rajinikanth is presently working on 'Thalaivar 170' directed by TJ Gnanavel. 'Thalaivar 171' with Lokesh Kanagaraj is slated to follow after the completion of the former.

Thalaivar 171' will reportedly be a stand-alone film, not connected to Lokesh Kanagaraj's cinematic universe, which includes 'Kaithi', 'Vikram', and 'Leo'.

Sun Pictures is set to produce 'Thalaivar 171', promising surprises and high-budget entertainment, according to Lokesh Kanagaraj.
